Disruptions & planned work

Engineering work is taking place between South Croydon and Oxted / East Grinstead / Uckfield closing all lines. A bus service will be provided between Purley and East Grinstead calling at Upper Warlingham and Oxted / East Grinstead. Replacement buses will run between: Oxted and Crowborough / Uckfield Upper Warlingham and Woldingham Oxted and East Grinstead Tickets for journeys on the Uckfield line will also be accepted on Southeastern trains between London Bridge and Tunbridge Wells at no extra cost. Sanderstead and Riddlesdown will have no train or replacement bus service for nearly all of this closure. If you are travelling to / from Sanderstead, you are advised to use Purley Oaks station and customers travelling to / from Riddlesdown are also advised to use Purley Station. Trains between London Victoria and Reigate will be amended to run between Reigate and Redhill only. Your ticket will be accepted at no extra cost on alternative Southern or Thameslink trains to travel between Redhill and London. Paper tickets will also be accepted on London Bus routes at no extra cost: 403 between South Croydon – Sanderstead 412 between South Croydon – Riddlesdown – Purley Journey times will be increased when using replacement buses. From approximately 22:30 until the end of service on Monday to Thursday evenings, buses will replace trains between East Croydon / Purley and Caterham / Tattenham Corner.
